Journey of Sound Healing & the Sacred Five Elements
with Geshe YongDong Losar
In-person in Budapest, Hungary and online on Zoom
Organized by Ligmincha Magyarország
Date: September 5-7, 2025
We are delighted to announce that Geshe YongDong Losar has accepted Ligmincha Hungary’s invitation and will be joining us first time in Budapest to lead a transformative weekend retreat. This program is open to all spiritual paths and levels of experience with breath work, yoga or meditation, beginners and long-time practitioners are both welcome.
About the Teaching
Under Geshe YongDong Losar’s guidance, we will explore powerful methods of the five elements and sound healing practices rooted in the ancient Yungdrung Bön tradition. To this day, Yungdrung Bön has an unbroken lineage and is rooted in the indigenous spiritual tradition of the Himalayas.
Regular practice of these outer, inner, and secret methods can help us restore balance, rejuvenate our energy, and promote both spiritual and physical well-being — benefiting not only ourselves but others as well.
“Everything happens when the five elements are in balance.”
The five elements are a crucial part of spiritual practice within not just the Tibetan heritage, but also Chinese and Indian traditions. Each teaches how this practice impacts our health and well-being, both medically and spiritually. The five elements (Space, Air/Wind, Fire, Water and Earth) are the foundation of who we are. These elements hold and support us. They can be used to rejuvenate our energy and promote longevity or if they are not balanced, they can disturb our energy.
According to Bön Buddhist tradition, the five elements practice has been used for centuries to balance ourselves and our environment. Every month ceremonies are held for each element with their own specific mantras, ceremonies, physical exercises and deities. Many indigenous peoples also perform rituals for the five elements to create harmony. Rites are also done to balance disharmony and address lack of connection to the elements both individually and collectively within the community.
The Journey
During this weekend’s retreat, we will be introduced by Geshe-la to unique sound healing methods for deep spiritual and energetic transformation. We’ll learn:
- The five warrior seed syllables to open and balance the five chakras,
- The sacred sounds that cultivate the union of compassion and wisdom,
- An ancient healing mantra that clears internal, external, and secret obstacles,
- The song of the five elements, that brings balance and rejuvenates one's own energy,
- The three doors practice: unification and completion of the three doors of body, speech and mind, allowing us to receive and dedicate merit.
Join us for this precious opportunity to experience, explore and connect with these ancient wisdom practices for healing and transformation!
