Dzogchen Trekchöd Teaching from Choekhortshang Rinpoche
November 15-17, 2024 In-person in Budapest, Hungary online on Zoom
Organized by Ligmincha Magyarország
We are very happy to announce that Choekhortshang Rinpoche accepted Ligmincha Hungary’s invitation and will visit to Budapest again to give an introduction to Trekchöd practice.
About the teaching
Trekchoe (khregs chod) is one of the two main practices in Dzogchen, the highest level teaching of Tibetan Bon Buddhism. The essence of Trekchoe is: directly experiencing and recognizing primordial awareness (rigpa), breaking free from conceptual thoughts that obscure one's true nature, and resting in the natural state of mind without effort.
Trekchoe is considered an advanced practice in Dzogchen which involves a direct introduction to the nature of mind.
Trekchoe along with Thögal (thod rgal) form the core practices of Dzogchen, are often practiced in conjunction. While Trekchoe focuses on recognizing and resting in the nature of mind, Thögal involves working with visionary experiences and the energetic aspects of awareness.
In the context of Dzogchen practice, Trekchoe serves as Zhine (calm abiding) practice, while Thögal serves as Lhakthong (wider seeing) practice.
In this weekend retreat Choekhorthsang Rinpoche will introduce us the practice. and we will be practicing with object (Tibetan A) and without object. If you have Tibetan A and stick please bring it wiht you for the practice with object.
The teaching is open to all.
