We are happy to announce that Choekhortshang Rinpoche accepted our invitation and he will teach from the Six Lamps, one of the important main texts in the Zhang Zhung Oral Transmission tradition. This teaching is closely connected to Rinpoche Trekchöd teaching that he gave in November 2024 in Budapest. However this retreat is open to all, there are no prerequisites for the attendance.

About the teaching

The Instructions on the Six Lamps is a profound and important work from the Bön Dzogchen tradition and is one of the root texts of the Zhangzhung Nyengyü (Oral Transmission of Zhangzhung) series of orally transmitted teachings.

The root text describes highly secret precepts of Dzogchen (Great Perfection) practice, and the Six Lamps teachings includes clear instructions on how to meditate, how to practice connected to Thögel —as revealed by Tapihritsa to Gyerpung Nangzher Löpo. The teachings in this text represent oral instructions transmitted by a single master to a single disciple in the mode known as “single transmission.” It is through such a practice that one can see the clear light of one’s own mind before achieving complete Buddhahood.

The ‘lamps’ in the title, one by one illuminate different key points of Dzogchen.

Receiving the Six Lamps teaching helps the practice of the Thögal.

In this weekend retreat Choekhorthsang Rinpoche will introduce us the practice. and we will be practicing with object (Tibetan A) and without object. If you have Tibetan A and stick please bring it wiht you for the practice with object.

The teaching is open to all.
