Organized by Ligmincha Hungary

We invite you to join the retreat where with the guidance of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche we will engage in the practice of meditation and reflection, to look intimately within and find the jewel that is hidden in our everyday experiences. Our ordinary body becomes a powerful doorway to connect with the highest aspect of oneself. Through bringing together the focus of the mind, breath, and physical movements, we will be taught simple and powerful exercises to open our body and release the obstacles that obscure us from recognizing the unbounded sacred space within, the inner refuge. Discover the inner refuge and the gifts of spaciousness, awareness, and warmth that bring healing and benefit not only to you but to your relationships with others and the greater world.

During this retreat Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will instruct us in the ancient practices of Tsa Lung. These practices have been used for thousands of years to open and awaken the energy centers and channels of the subtle energy body. They can enhance your physical fitness, mental well-being, and spiritual growth. By clearing uncomfortable emotions and other obscurations, they can open the space from which joy, love, compassion, and other enlightened qualities spontaneously manifest.

About the Practice

Tsa Lung is a series of ancient yogic practices drawn from the Bön Mother Tantra that brings balance and harmony to our physical body, energy, and mind. The term Tsa Lung can be translated as the energy-winds (Tibetan: Lung, Skt. Prana, Chinese, Qi) in the Channels.

There are three levels of Tsa Lung practice: External, Internal and Secret. The External Tsa Lung works primarily on the physical level, using simple movements and breath exercises to balance the energies within our body. The Internal Tsa Lung works more at the level of breath and subtle energy, bringing our attention to opening the five chakras and the central channel. The Secret Tsa Lung uses subtle visualizations within the chakras and central channel to bring harmony to the mind, so that we can rest in our inner refuge, nature of mind. All of the Tsa Lung exercises integrate and balance the five elements within: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space.

These exercises are easy to perform and are suitable for everyone. They are a beautiful complement to any meditation practice, and particularly to Dzogchen. They are frequently performed at the beginning of a session so that meditation is deeper and more stable. The External Tsa Lung is commonly performed in all Ligmincha centers and groups.
